Love love loooooooooooove. Tomorrow is Valentine's Day and I can't help but think of love. God's love especially! Isn't it amazing how much He loves us? Without His love for us we would be lost. He loves us so much that He gave us Jesus. That is love that I can't comprehend.
So I wanted to share some verses with you. The first being John 3:16. For those of you who do not know, Alyssa was born at 3:16 pm. Not only is it an awesome verse but Jamie and I couldn't help but think of this verse after she was born. It gave us comfort during her stay in the NICU. "For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."
Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails... 1 Corinthians 13:4-8a
Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. 1 John 4:7
